The Grassland & Pollinator Team have organised an exciting training opportunity with Bumblebee Conservation Trust, taking place via Zoom on Friday 22nd August, 9.30am – 12.30pm. This will cover the ecology and identification of all Cumbrian bumblebees, including how you can help through sharing your sightings and taking part in the national BeeWalk Monitoring Scheme.
This is running as part of a new project looking to increase our understanding of the rare Moss Carder Bee within the East of Eden landscape. Following the training, there will be opportunities through the project for volunteers to join survey days and help increase our understanding of this species’ requirements.
It would be great to see you there!
Please let me know if you would like to attend and if you have any questions about the workshop!
Best wishes,
Charlotte
